The Pocola PD is located at 202 S. Pocola Blvd. Pocola, OK.  The Police Department is comprised of 13 Police Officers, 1 Code Enforcement/Animal Control Officer, & 5 dispatchers.  We are here to serve and protect our community with the highest regard of honesty, integrity, professionalism, respect, honor, & excellence.  We are dedicated to providing a safe and secure community while treating all people with dignity and respect.

The Pocola Police Department, working in cooperation with its citizens, will provide for the safety of Pocola’s citizens, their property, and its visitors. We will accomplish this by maintaining INTEGRITY, COURAGE, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY, and EDUCATION. We will treat all those we work with and serve in a fair, impartial, and professional manner. Our Department will actively pursue, investigate, and prosecute those in violation of the laws and ordinances of the Town of Pocola, LeFlore County, and the State of Oklahoma. We are a service-based Department that strives to maintain a sense of well-being for all of Pocola’s citizens.

The following services are offered at the Police Department: 

  • Fingerprinting (8am-5pm, M-F)

  • Notary Services (offered 24 hrs. 7 days/wk.)

  • Vehicle Unlock

  • Copy & Fax Services

  • Formal Requests for Police Reports

  • Accident Reports must be obtained through CarFax at www.crashdocs.org 

Should one need to reach the Police Department on a Non-Emergency Line please call (918) 436-2476.  Our Dispatchers are in the office 24 hrs./day 7 days/week. 

Should you need to speak to someone in reference to a citation please contact the Court Clerk’s Office at (918) 436-2388 Mon.-Fri. 8am-12pm or 1pm-5pm.

Municipal Court is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm in the Pocola Court Room located at 204 S. Pocola Blvd.  Pocola, OK.

TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICERS!!

The Pocola Police Department is accepting applications for a Full-Time Police Officer.  Applications are available at the Pocola Police Dept. 204 S. Pocola Blvd. Pocola, OK 74902. Special Consideration will be given to Certified Officers.

All Applicants must have:

Minimum Age of 21 yrs old

Valid Driver's License

United States Citizen

Be legally able to carry firearms

H.S. Diploma / GED

No prior Criminal History

Pass Background Check and Drug Screen

The Town of Pocola Police Department has a starting hourly rate of $18/hr for Certified Officers and $16/hr for Uncertified Officers with incentives for certain certification and/or degrees.  We also offer an excellent benefit package including Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance with 100% of the Employee Premiums Paid, Retirement (2 retirement plans offered - 1 mandatory Defined Benefit Plan & 1 optional Defined Contribution Plan, Paid Time Off for sick, personal, & vacation, Paid Holidays (7), and in most cases a take home unit.
