Mission Statement
The Pocola Police Department, working in cooperation with its citizens, will provide for the safety of Pocola’s citizens, their property, and its visitors. We will accomplish this by maintaining INTEGRITY, COURAGE, ACCOUNTABILITY, RESPONSIBILITY, and EDUCATION. We will treat all those we work with and serve in a fair, impartial, and professional manner. Our Department will actively pursue, investigate, and prosecute those in violation of the laws and ordinances of the Town of Pocola, LeFlore County, and the State of Oklahoma. This building was dedicated in honor of C.W. Harris this eighteenth day of May, two thousand thirteen.

C.W. Harris served as Pocola’s first Chief of Police, after the Town of Pocola’s incorporation, May 18, 1963. We are thankful for his hard work and dedication.

Members of this Police Department still respectfully serve in the traditions set forth by Chief C.W. Harris.
